The Manager's Coaching Playbook™ Practical Conversations for Real Leadership Situations

The Manager's Coaching Playbook™ Practical Conversations for Real Leadership Situations

Every leadership conversation shapes the future of your team.
Managers who consistently solve every problem unintentionally create dependent employees. Managers who coach effectively develop independent thinkers who take ownership, solve problems, and continue to grow. The difference isn't having better answers: it's leading better conversations.

The Manager's Coaching Playbook™ is a highly interactive workshop that equips managers with the mindset, coaching skills, and practical tools to confidently navigate the leadership conversations they face every day. Participants will learn how to shift from directing to developing, ask coaching questions that stimulate thinking instead of dependence, and lead conversations that build confidence, accountability, capability, and ownership.

Using the COACH™ Conversation Model, participants will strengthen essential coaching skills, including active listening, purposeful questioning, and guided problem solving—while learning to avoid common coaching pitfalls that unintentionally limit employee growth.
Participants will apply The Seven Essential Coaching Plays to the leadership situations managers encounter most often:

  • Performance Recovery — Restore performance while preserving trust.
  • Confidence Builder — Build confidence and competence.
  • Ownership — Develop employees who think rather than wait.
  • Accountability — Strengthen follow-through and commitment.
  • Delegation — Expand team capacity while developing people.
  • Development — Build capability for greater responsibility.
  • Career Conversation — Invest in long-term growth and retention.
Participants will leave with The Manager's Coaching Field Guide, a practical resource featuring The Seven Essential Coaching Plays, the COACH™ Conversation Model, conversation blueprints, coaching tools, question design frameworks, and workplace application guides they can immediately use to coach with greater confidence and effectiveness.
