About Us

Here at Berks Nature, we believe nature is essential to our quality of life. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization, Berks Nature has been serving the Berks County community since 1974. Land preservation, water protection, trail management, community gardens, education programs, State of the Environment, Eco-Camp and our valued partnerships are at the center of Berks Nature's work every day. Home to Berks Nature's headquarters, Eco-Camp, and Nature Preschool, The Nature Place (our environmental education center) is a destination where adults and kids alike can learn and connect with their natural surroundings. Take a stroll through the wetland trails, let the kiddos run free with their imagination in our Nature Play Zone, attend a lecture in one of our classrooms, bring your students on a guided fieldtrip, or rent out our conference space for your next company meeting or retreat. Inside our lobby, you'll find a store and educational exhibits- including a live observational beehive. Rent a classroom, conference room or our 150 person event space. Be inspired by a tour of the green features of building, designated as a LEED (Leadership in Environmental Engineering & Design) GOLD building. Visit The Nature Place to learn more about Berks Nature!
