About Us
Since 1913, the Reading Symphony Orchestra has been the cornerstone of symphonic music in Berks County and a cultural beacon beyond. As one of the nation’s longest continuously operating orchestras, the RSO has brought world-class performances, music education, and economic vitality to the region for over a century. From timeless masterworks by Bach and Beethoven to thrilling contemporary pieces, the RSO has shared the stage with internationally acclaimed soloists such as Renée Fleming, Yuja Wang, Fabio Bidini, Midori, Pinchas Zukerman, and Jason Vieaux—making each performance a landmark artistic event.
