Dear Community Leaders and Partners,
We are reaching out with an urgent call to action regarding the upcoming SNAP benefit discontinuation, slated to begin next month. This change is expected to affect more than 3,000 families across Berks County, leaving many without critical food assistance and necessities.
Due to these recent developments, The Real Deal 610 is calling on all who are able to help effect change and provide immediate community support. This is a time for unity, compassion, and action — because it’s about coming together to care for our neighbors.
We are requesting donations of the following essential items:
- Nonperishable food
- Coats and warm clothing
- Personal hygiene products
- Diapers and baby formula
Drop-off Locations:
- Berks Latino Workforce Development Tech Centro
450 S. 6th Street, Reading, PA
- Segunda LGL Tesalonica Christian Church
924 Greenwich Street, Reading, PA
Every contribution makes a difference. Together, we can ensure that no family in our community is left behind during this critical time.
If you or your organization would like to collaborate, host a drive, or volunteer, please contact us directly. Let’s stand united to meet this challenge head-on and provide hope where it’s needed most.
With gratitude,
Dr. Seleda Simmons
